Bombay Balaji is among the bright artistes who have caught the imagination of the media and rasikas. Started his training at the age of six under the maestro Palghat Mani Ayyar, continued it under Trichy Raghava Ayyar, Professor (retired) in Mridangam, Benares Hindu University and is now having special coaching under Palghat Raghu. made his debut in 1981 providing accompaniment to Sangita Kalanidhi T.N.Krishnan. Bombay Balaji has been providing rich and competent accompaniment to senior artistes in All India Radio, Doordarshan and at sabhas. Enjoys versatile style, dexterous fingering and rhythmic variations. A popular artiste.
